Auto Generate helps when you know the idea for a story but do not want to fill every setup field from scratch. You can review and edit anything it writes before you start or publish.
Where to find it
Open New Story and go to the Story Details slide. Choose Manual if you want to write everything yourself, or Auto Generate if you want Mana to help draft the setup.
For text stories
For a Text Story, write a short idea in Starting Prompt, then choose Auto Generate. Mana expands your idea into a fuller opening scene and may also fill Custom Instructions.
- Choose Text Story on the first slide.
- Go to Story Details.
- Type a short story idea in Starting Prompt.
- Choose Auto Generate.
- Review the generated Starting Prompt and Custom Instructions.
For visual stories
For a Visual Story, Auto Generate uses the characters and setup you have selected. The Auto-Generate Instructions box tells Mana what kind of story details to build.
- Choose Visual Story and finish the required fields on the first slide.
- On Story Details, add at least one character.
- Choose Auto Generate.
- Edit Auto-Generate Instructions if you want a different direction.
- Choose a model from the dropdown.
- Choose Generate Details.
- Review the Starting Prompt, Custom Instructions, player character details, and character details it fills in.
Good ways to use it
- Start with a simple idea, then ask for a stronger opening scene.
- Use it to make character backgrounds feel consistent with the story premise.
- Run it once, edit the result, then continue manually instead of rerunning until it is perfect.
Coins
Each run spends coins. You can review charges later in Usage History, where they appear as Auto Generate or AI Starting Prompt.
